Santanu, a seasoned industry leader, comes with over 26 years of experience in human resources & administration. In his current role, he is responsible for providing strategic direction to people practices including talent acquisition, learning and development, performance management and succession planning. Infrastructure & Admin function also rolls up to him at BALIC. Santanu has played a critical role in the transformation journey at Bajaj Life Insurance with respect to people policies and culture development.

Prior to joining Bajaj Life Insurance, Santanu worked with Star Union Dai-Ichi Life Insurance as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resource Officer. His other HR roles were with ING Vysya Life Insurance, Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance, Aditya Birla Health Insurance, and Hathway Cable & Dotcom.

Santanu graduated from the University of Calcutta and holds a Master’s degree in HR from the Army Institute of Management, Kolkata. An avid reader of literature, he is also a trained classical musician, who loves to play musical instruments.
